16.02.1 IAM Lan Hewlett Academic Award
This award is named in honor of Mr. Lan Hewlett, the first academic counselor for student-athletes at UT Athletics, as well as in the country, who served in this capacity from 1957 to 1977.
The award recognizes the academic achievement of the junior or senior letterman(men), in each sport, with the highest accumulative grade point average. The award would not be given to any student-athlete with an accumulated GPA under 3.00.
