5.30.1 Bylaw 30 - Administrative Regulations
Admissions and Graduation Rate Disclosure
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure establishes guidelines pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 30.1 for the disclosing of required academic performance data.
2.0 POLICY
The policy of The University of Texas is to fulfill the NCAA Academic Performance Program (APP) purpose and provisions and to adhere to all administrative requirements related to participation in intercollegiate athletics.

All Star Contests
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure establishes guidelines pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 30.2 for all-star contests.
2.0 POLICY
The policy of The University of Texas is to comply with all administrative requirements related to participation in all-star contests.

Certification of Compliance
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure establishes guidelines pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 30.3 for ensuring the institution's timely and effective completion of the NCAA's Certificate of Compliance forms 07-1 for institutions and 07-2 for staff members of athletics departments.
2.0 POLICY
The policy of The University of Texas is to adhere to the administrative requirements established by the NCAA.

6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 Certification of Compliance for Institutions
6.1.1 On or about August 1of each year, the compliance office Administrative Associate (AA) contacts office of the president to schedule an all athletics department staff meeting on a date between September 1 and September 15.
6.1.2 At this meeting, the president and any appropriate athletics department staff members will review with all athletic department staff members, the rules and regulations of the NCAA as they apply to the administration and conduct of intercollegiate athletics.
6.1.3 On or about September 1 of each year the Compliance Coordinator (CC) prepares the Certification of Compliance for Institutions for submission to the president for review and signature before September 15.
6.1.4 The CC keeps a copy of the signed form on file.
6.2 Certification of Compliance for Staff Members of Athletics Departments
6.2.1 On August 1 of each year, the CC contacts the athletics department's human resources coordinator to request a list of full-time, part-time, and volunteer athletics department personnel as of July 31. This list identifies all staff by name, title, and department.
6.2.2 The CC sends each department head a copy of the Certification of compliance form and a list of the personnel in their department that must sign the form by August 15.
6.2.3 The department heads must ensure that each member of their staff who remain employed by the institution signs the form and return the form on or before September 5.
6.2.4. The CC reviews the returned forms to ensure the appropriate signatures have been provided and will follow up on any missing signatures by September 12.
6.2.5 The CC keeps a complete copy of the signed form on file as prescribed by the NCAA.
Five/Ten-Semester Rule Waiver
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure establishes guidelines pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 30.6.1 Waiver Criteria.
2.0 POLICY
The policy of The University of Texas at Austin is that the institution will seek to maximize a student-athletes' opportunity to participate in intercollegiate athletics. Where appropriate, the institution will seek waivers of the NCAA's five-year eligibility clock to allow student-athletes who have been denied participation opportunities to exhaust their athletics eligibility in accordance with NCAA rules.

6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 The CC oversees of the University's efforts to seek waivers of the NCAA's five-year rule waivers, under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance.
6.2 The CC evaluates any request from a coach or student-athlete to seek a waiver of the five-year rule using the NCAA's Chart for Analysis of Extension Requests.
6.3 Where appropriate the Compliance Assistant (CA) prepares a request for a the NCAA's five-year rule, in accordance with the NCAA's Five-Year/10-Semester Extension Request Checklist.
6.4 The CA submits the application to the Compliance Coordinator, the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and the applicable student-athlete for review prior to submission to the NCAA.
6.5 The CA responds to all requests for additional or follow-up information from the NCAA regarding the waiver application.
Foreign Tours and Competition
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure establishes guidelines pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 30.7 for certification of foreign tours.
2.0 POLICY
The policy of The University of Texas is to adhere to all administrative requirements related to participation in intercollegiate athletics.
