2.06.1 IAM - Executive Staff
DEPARTMENTAL ORGANIZATION – IAM
The head of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for Men is the Director of Athletics who reports directly to the University's President.
Departmental Staffs
Senior Executive Staff
Reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Staff meetings for Senior Executive Staff members are scheduled by direct telephone contact, or via email notice, from the Office of the Director of Athletics and at his/her discretion. This group is considered the Department’s “policy body” and as such, the primary purpose of their meetings is to plan departmental objectives and establish operational policies compatible with same. Members include:
- Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sports Programs
- Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Services
- Senior Associate Athletics Director for Information and Technology Services
- Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communications
- Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development
Executive Staff
Reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Staff meetings for Executive Staff members are scheduled by direct telephone contact, or via email notice, from the Office of the Director of Athletics and at his/her discretion. This group is considered an integral part of the Department’s “policy body”, as well as the “departmental action staff” and as such, the primary purpose of their meetings is to address concerns related to Departmental operations and problem-solve accordingly. In addition to the formal agenda, issues of major concern related to policy may be presented to the Director of Athletics prior to the meeting for inclusion on the agenda or may be brought forward during the open discussion period of the staff meeting, at the Director of Athletics direction. Members include:

- Associate Athletics Director/T-Association

Departmental operations are characterized by a high degree of interaction and coordination with the Women’s Athletics Department in order to efficiently conduct the overall UT sports programs. The coaching, training, academics/student services, development, facilities management, business, compliance, marketing, multimedia, and public relations’ activities are all interrelated and interdependent. Although the directors and managers in charge of these functions primarily report directly to their respective Director of Athletics, these individuals work closely together to provide for the implementation of academic, coaching and administrative policies throughout both Departments.
